What is a Kita voucher and how do I get it?
With the Kita voucher the care needs of your child are determined. In Berlin, it is a prerequisite for parents to be able to get a childcare place at all. The Kita voucher must be with each local Youth Welfare Office of the district and can then be "redeemed" at the daycare center. In addition, the daycare center receives its payment by the district via the voucher.
From when can I register my child in the daycare center?
Registration of your child is only possible after birth.
You can submit the daycare voucher at least nine months in advance and no later than two months before the start of daycare.
Your child only has a claim to a kindergarten place when they reach the age of one.
Can I get to know the Kinderwelt in advance?
Of course! Basically, you should personally look at a daycare center in advance! Only then can you decide whether you feel comfortable and imagine giving your child into our hands for several hours. Kindergarten means giving a lot of confidence and feeling comfortable.

What charges do I have?
In total, there are fees of 75€. These are divided into the following points:
- In Berlin, a meal fee of 23 € is charged for lunch.
- It is important to us that all children have the same opportunity for a good breakfast and Vesper. Therefore, additional contributions of 22 € will be charged.
- As a parent initiative association, we charge a association fee of 30€.
- As soon as several children from a family are cared for, only one club contribution is due. Thus, a total of 120,00 € would be raised for two children
Is there any financial support if I cannot afford the fees?
For families with little money there is financial support Education and participation package (BuT). This allows the child to use offers in daycare centers and leisure activities if families otherwise could not afford the costs.
Thus, the costs for lunch are completely covered and excursion costs are supported.

What does parent initiative mean?
Parent initiatives are small, self-managed nurseries by parents and/or educators, usually in the structure of a non-profit association in which the parents are members and form the board of directors. Parents and educators together shape the educational concept for everyday life with children.
This means that educators and parents work closely together.
At the conclusion of the contract, parents commit to six parent hours each per parent and kindergarten year. This means that all parents have the opportunity to actively participate in kindergarten daily life.
These parental hours can be paid, for example, in so-called parental services, i.e. support for the care of children. In addition, parental lessons are often used for repair, garden or repair work.
From the ranks of the parents, a Executive Board who undertakes to represent our Kita externally.
How do you get used to it and how long does it last?
When we start the journey together with your child, you should plan about 4 weeks for the start. These should definitely be before your work begins. During this time, your families and educators are slowly getting to know each other. This means that your child will only be accompanied by a parent for about one to two hours in the first few days. Slowly, the duration of the stay is increased and at the same time the presence of the parent is shortened until your child remains alone in the nursery. But the duration of the settling-in ultimately depends on your child individually.
Are you talking about nutritional peculiarities?
Definitely! Just as we take into account the individual needs of children and parents during the acclimatization process, the same applies to nutrition!
We work with a very good catering service, which provides us with both gluten-, lactose-free, vegetarian and vegan food. Therefore, please let us know the intolerances and allergies of your children when registering so that we can plan them during catering.
